“We've all developed many friendships out of this, so this is going to continue past the baseball tournament,” Samuel Walley said. Walley, who will throw out the first pitch on Sunday, was part of the 82nd airborne infantry in the U.S. Army. “It was June 6, 2012, about 10 in the morning,” he said. “I was hit by a remote-controlled IED off to the right of me resulting in the loss of my right leg above the knee.
